Your energy level must be full. Hold R2 to keep your energy bar at full strength at all times. If you release it, then your energy bar will go down.

Japan Bonus Track
Perform the following on any stage:
First Ramp: Square, Triangle
Second Ramp: Square, Circle, Triangle
Third Ramp: Square, Circle, X
On the Fourth Ramp: Square, X, Triangle, Circle
Finish the ramp, and the Japan track will load.

Turbo Start
Tuck and press Up when you start a race to start more quickly.

Cheat Menu
Enter the Options screen and then select Pad Config. Hold R2, and press Right, Up, Right, Triangle, X. A sound will confirm correct code entry. On the main menu, there'll be a new cheat option.
