To unlock Robert, play through Record Attack mode on the Fastest speed and eliminate all opponents in a minute or less. The catch is that the Master must allow you to do so, and he will only do so randomly after beating a one-player game.

Play As Ushi The Cow
You must enter rodeo mode and engage Ushi in a fight. If you last one minute without you or Ushi dying, Ushi will become a selectable character.

Once you have already completed the game and earned a star, beat all the characters in the game mode ''faster'' in less than one minute.
