Create a license plate with any one of the names listed below to turn into a different character. Before confirming the name make sure that OK is lighted then hold L + R then confirm your plate name.
At the licence plate entry screen, hold R+L, and press up or down on the control stick. One of the wavering bars will change colors. Keep pressing up or down to scroll through many different colors. When the bar is your desired color, hit OK. Nick's car will be the color of the wavering bar.

Symbols on License Plate
When you begin a new game and create your license plate, you can scroll through different symbols. Press L+R and the control stick left or right when creating your file.

Massive Air Time
When you accidently (or purposely) flip your car upside down, the game counts this as ''Air Time''. It is possible to get massive air time by simply lying upside down then getting back on your wheels.
To get back on your wheels, you must first have the Peel-out upgrade, where you must hold accelerate and brake together for a boost. While upside down, you will still be able to use this ability, so constantly do this until your car flips itself over again. Once you do this, the game registers this as your car returning to it's ''feet'', and gives you the appropriate air time!

Run through Fences
While running into an otherwise impassable fence, shoot your gun, then shoot again about 1 second later. You will run through the fence.

Weapon Duplication
You need to have a weapon other than you standard pistols you hold. First way to do this is while arresting someone you may sometimes accidentally drop your weapons or so it seems. If you pull out your weapons you'll still be holding them and there are two more weapons like the ones you were holding on the ground. The second way though slightly harder is by standing off the sidewalk say, on the grass and drop your weapons. If you pick them up at the same time the screen goes white to put you on the sidewalk again you should be holding two of the one weapon you picked up or there should be four weapons where you left them.
