To unlock the Outer Space (Infinite Depth) Level in Mission Mode, you must gather all the characters from the regular stages (hence beating Mission Mode).

Puchi	Beat the 500M level on "Mission Driller" mode.
Holzinger-Z	Beat the 800M level on "Mission Driller" mode.
Ataru	Beat the America 2000M level on "Mission Driller" mode.

Unlock Usagi (JPN/EU versions)

To unlock Usagi you need to complete the 2000m moon level in mission mode using Ataru.

Please note this only works in the Japanese and European versions.

Beat Dristone Driller once to unlock Tokyo being an infinitely deep level.
