Okay, this review may be late, but that really doesn't matter. This game is one of the, scratch that, THE best music game i've ever played. The big "thing" about the game is the way you play it. It comes with a guitar about 3/4 the size of a real one that has a strum button and five fret buttons on the top of the guitar to simulate real notes. Although it's nothing compared to an actual guitar (I play guitar a bit, so I know), it's still fun and actual guitar players will still get a kick out of it. The gameplay seems simple, but it's the complete oppisite. Notes go down the screen and when they get to a cirtain point (the bottom), you have to have the right fret button pressed down and you have to strum the note with the strum button. There's four difficulties ranging from the 3 note easy to the monstrously difficult expert which uses all five notes. The thing that separates this from other music games is just that: the music. This game features hits from the likes of audioslave, the ramones, black sabbath, pantera, ozzy osbourne, jimi hendrix, blue oyster cult, red hot chili peppers and more to make about 34 licenced songs and another 11 unlockable songs from littler bands. All the songs feel really good to play and the experience of playing this game really hasn't been created in any other game to date. The game is easy to pick up and play and gets really hard later on. For about a month you will be addicted and trying to get 5 stars (The highest rating) on every song in expert mode. Another thing I really like about this game is that it really doesn't take that long to get good at, but once you're really good, you won't ever want to quit. The songs feel so good to play that you could spend a half four playing "Bark at the Moon" and not get bored at all (it's happened to me.). The one thing I didn't like so much is the price. It's 80.00$ at most places and 70.00$ at a few stores if you know where to look. It's worth it though because the guitar is expertly crafted and it even has a whammy bar to bend the notes. It's honestly one of the best game experiences i've ever had and you owe it to yourself to pick this one up unless you hate rock music (In that case, I hate you.). But even those people will get a kick out of this for awhile. It may be expensive, but it's worth every penny. 10/10 EXCELLENT
