Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance is really a deceiving game. If you've played the original Baldur's Gate games and buy this, you'll be very disappointed. BG:DA is nothing like the series it lends its name from! But if you haven't played any former Baldur's Gate titles, chances are you (and a friend, in co-op) will have a lot of fun with this beautifully rendered title. BG:DA is a simple action RPG set in the city of Baldur's Gate. You arrive there one night and is immediately robbed. As you search for the robbers, bigger adventures unfold around you. Then it's all about killing hordes of monsters, upgrading your equipment and choosing which skills to develop, and if you have a friend who's equally nerdy you can play together on the same screen! It's not deep, it's not Baldur's Gate, but it's a decent action RPG on its own, just with a misleading name.
