Civilization 3 is by far the best turn based strategy game ever made. Despite its lack of a multiplayer element. Basically the game plays similar to the previous Civ game, there where several changes in the rules of how units can use roads and rail in enemy territory. The game also has borders for your nation drawn onto the map, so for the first time you can see what you control. The graphics are quite pretty, but nothing like some of today's real-time strategy games. Still the game play of Civ 3 is solid, and will generally get a player hooked for a long time.
The only down side to the game so far, has been a lack of multiplayer, and there is still a minute chance a spearman can kill a main battle tank. But other than that it's a great game worthy of an 8/10.
