Rome Total War is a very good real-time strategy game, with an element of turn based strategy mixed in. If you are familiar with the Total war series you'll under stand what I mean. As far as game play in Rome total war goes, it's not much different than medieval total war in the turn based element. You conquer territories, and than use those to gain money from taxes, and to build new military units, and you move the units around to different areas on the campaign map. When it comes to the Real time strategy element it is also very similar to medieval total war. But the Graphics are simply breath taking. The total number of units that can be rendered has increase ten fold from the earlier total war games. Plus all the units are 3-D models, instead of the 2-D characters from previous games. I would strongly recommend Rome Total War to any one that likes strategy games, or enjoyed the previous Total War Games.
