KOTOR 2 is the sequel to Knights of the old Republic, which was one of the best games of 2003. The events in KOTOR 2 take place approximately 5 years after the events depicted in the original game and are generally well done. There are some complaints in my mind about no improvements to the graphics engine, as the relatively long period of time my character had to go with out a light saber.
Game Play, KOTOR 2 plays almost 100% the same as the first game. There have been some minor adjustments to the way the heads up display functions, and there are some new weapons armor, and of course force powers that are added to this game. The first few levels are character and story building levels where you learn about what happened to your character during the last game. You fill in the blank in most spots as to what happened, but your character is over all clueless as to what they accomplished in the previous game. Granted your character starts off as a Jedi, your character has to wait for several planets before they can craft a light saber. There are many new characters that join your party, and some old ones make guest appearances through out the game. But basically it boils down to the same good vs. evil storyline that every Star Wars game gives you. 9/10
Replay, KOTOR 2 is much like KOTOR 1 in replay value, you can spend a week or two playing it through, but once you've beat it there's not much incentive to go play the game all the way through again. Although than get a couple more hours out of it, by playing the last level over for the opposite faction to get the alternate ending. 6/10
Sound FX, The sound FX in the game are great, every thing from music to blaster fire is of the highest "movie" quality. No complaints about the sound 10/10
Graphics, KOTOR 2 looks the same as KOTOR 1, because Lucas Arts didn't want to update the graphics engine. Granted the graphics look fine on the old engine, you can't help but wonder how much better a new graphics engine would be like, especially if you have a beefy system that can handle a much improved graphics engine. 8/10
