Most reviewers have commented on Far Cry's gameplay, graphics, and the cry engine. However one of the strongest features of this incredible game is the support the community, and Modders get from Ubi Soft/CryTek. Never before have I seen such a level of involvement from the game developers with the community. Ubi Soft's Far Cry community Managers have even answered my questions directly with personal email; that has never happened with other games I have been involved with, either in community, or in Modding.
As for Modding FarCry, it enhances and personalizes your game play experience and for the modder creates an experience of being involved in the games creation. Many Mods for FarCry are already under way, ranging from classic WW2 action to Sci-Fi, and Jurassic Park type Mods. I am certain many more are to come.
