There are certain ways a game could go wrong and Star Fox Adventures manages to find almost all of them.
Graphics: This seems to be the only positive aspect of this game. The landscapes look extremely real, and based on the length of the game there are alot of them. The enemies are highly detailed (yet highly stupid, more on that later though) and there are also plenty of different enemies to fight. (9/10)
Gameplay: Just thinking about this makes me digusted. Within the entire game, your collecting something to get somewhere else. The whole game bases itself more on finding than thinking, and the game is way to linear for more experienced gamers. Also, the developers try to throw in some classic Star Fox when traveling from planet to planet. But this is not really a good thing, since it is utterly boring (usually more boring then one of their vast dungeons. (7/10)
Combat/AI (Artifical Intelligence): Why? Why did the combat have to be so dull? The best way to describe the combat for those of you who haven't played is to picture an old (very old) kung-fu movie. The enemies surround the main character, and instead of attacking him all at once, one of the enemies attacks Fox, and the rest just stand there doing nothing! When Fox kills the enemy he's fighting, the next enemy attacks and the process repeats. If all the enemies attacked at once, and maybe the combat was slightly fluid, the game could've been more enjoyable. (5/10)
Overall: There's not much more I could say about this game. It's really bad, and it's not worth more than 20 bucks. If you really have an urge to play it, rent it on Friday, beat it over the weekend, and return it. For anything over 20 dollars the game is true waste. (6/10)
