Prince of Persia is amazing. Simply put it is the action/adventure game of the year. The graphics are absolutely stunning and the gameplay challenging, fun, and even a joy to watch. This game is one of the best, I would not pass it up... especially concerning that for some odd the game went cheap in price rather fast for a game of such superb calibur.

The story is simple enough. Your father is betrayed and the people of the palace become corrupted by the sands of time. You are spared because you have the dagger of time (I think that is the right name) which allows you to manipulate, guess what? Time.
Gameplay 10/10
Besides having a variety of cool acrobatic moves the prince can perform you have the ability to slow down time, or even go back in time. There are a lot of cool games out there that can get on your nerves because you suddenly die because of a small mistake and other things, but in Prince of Persia you can simply go back in time a little ways to just before you screwed things up. Nifty.
The combat is also loads of fun too. You got a bunch of various moves such as running up and over enemies, jumping against the walls and then launching yourself torpedo style into them, etc. Good stuff.
This game has a lot puzzles in it too. Mostly of how to acrobatically make your way through traps and the like. You get visions of the future prior to new areas that give you a general hint so it is rare to ever get stuck in area for hours.
Controls 9.5/10
The controls in general were easy to master. The camera never argued with me. Good stuff.

This game is absolutely beautiful. It is hard to believe that it is coming from my PS2. The palace is a visual buffet.

The music is also near perfect. It fits the atmosphere well and is even CD in the car worthy.
