Battlefield 2 Modern Combat is a fun game in the vein of its PC counterparts that expands on the single player part of the game with great graphics and some Xbox live gameplay.

Battlefield 2 Modern Combat unlike the ones on the PC actually has a story/campaign where you can work your way up the military ranks. This is fun and all but there are somethings that could be a lot different. First of all even though there is a story in this game somewhere it is not a very good one seeing as how I did not get into it at all. Another thing is that I wish that you could be on the NATO side of things for the entire game. Finally, the huge AI battles that made the PC games fun is not here, which makes for the single player experience to be quite short, and no way to practice for xbox live.

Graphically, this game is great. This might be the best looking Xbox game that I have ever played, and I am being serious when I say this. I do however have one complaint though, but it is not so much a complaint as a question: Why is every single level taking place at night???? This can make the game not as fun seeing as how enemies are harder to see and there is no way that a war would go on only at night. Other than that this game looks very good.

This game also has some great sounds. The voiceovers are cheesey, but most importantly the weapons and the vehicles sound real. Really that is what you want in a military FPS isnt it? Well like I said before no complaints in the sound department.

Onto the controls. The controls in this game are great. The weapon selection is nice and simple, and even though there is not any night vision for all the dark night levels, that is not really needed becasue it is not too dark. All the other games in this series have suffered one big problem and that is vehicle controls, which this game solved. The vehicles control well and so does the on foot stuff.

Pros:
+great graphics
+controls are great
+the vehicles are better at controling
+overall fun game for the xbox live gamer

Cons:
-missing the bot matches
-^^that can make the single player experience a little to short and not prepare you enough for online battles
-why does everything take place at night?

Other:
? Will this make people forget about America's Army Rise of a Soldier???

Overall: This is a fun war first person shooter and fans of counter strike will ejoy this one. Minimal flaws make this a 10/10 game.
