Ok Tom Clancy fanboys, you waited a long time for this game. Splinter Cell Chaos Theory and Ghost Recon 2 Summit Strike fed your needs for some Tom Clancy gaming, but will Rainbow Six Lockdown do it?? The answer is no. That's right this game is what... how dare i say it... a mediocre Tom Clancy game. Thats right, besides graphics, and some updated ways to play this game there is really nothing new that has been offered to the table.

This games story is... well who am I kidding. Have you played a Tom Clancy game before?? Well if you have you know the drill: terrorists, special government organization, hostages, and other things of that sort. This time however one this is added to the single player game and that is to also be Dieter Weber, the sniper for Team Rainbow. Although this is a new way to play and look at the game there is really nothing fun about this part of the game, it is just tedious and boring, which can also be quite difficult at times. As for the ragular stuff there is nothing new here. It is just the same old stuff, which is fine, I mean I have played Tom Clancy games numerous times in a row, but there was just something about this game that is boring. Now for the big shocker, the levels are just way too long. Most Tom Clancy Rainbow Six games offer short levels with smart AI, but the levels are just too long here.

Graphically this game is amazing. I really do not know how to do anything but praise this part of the game, it is perfect in every single way possible. There are cutscnes now which do look pretty dang good, this is probablly the only part of the game that I do not have any complaints about.

Now on to the sound and the controls. This game has bullets, and more bullets. The voice of John Clark is still the same as it has been since the first Rainbow Six game was released. This games controls have been tweaked and I thought that they were perfect in Black Arrow so that made me very frustrated.

There is co-op multiplayer and ther is xbox live, which has this new way to play, but really it is not that much fun. I think that this game could have been great if they didn't try so hard.

Pros:
+great graphics
+no complaints in the sound
+the new sniper segmants are innovative

Cons:
+doesnt have the replay value of the other games in the series
+too much has beenc changed
+no need for the new controls
+all though innovative the sniper segmants are not needed.

Overall: I give this game a 7/10.
