Need For Speed Underground Rivals on the PSP is one of my all time favorite games for the handheld. It has fun, fast paced, and most importantly it was a great handheld port. After completing the game Most Wanted 5-1-0 immediately went to the top of my list of games that I needed to play. A couple months later Most Wanted became a Greatest Hit and the 20 dollar price mark was just too goo to be true so I picked it up as soon as possible. Let me warn all PSP owners right now, this game is no Rivals.

Most Wanted is all about taking the street racing of Rivals and adds the good ol' Need For Speed cops and sends you off. The first thing that you will notice is that this game plays just like Rivals which in a sense is a good thing, but too much of good thing, is not a good thing. Bringing very little new elements to table make this game seem like an expansion to Rivals. Outrun mode is fun the first couple of times, but after that it just gets old.

The soundtrack, which was nothing stellar in Rivals, is even worse this time around and is flooded by hip-hop. I found my self turning the sound down and listening to my iPod a lot more than I did with the previous installment on the PSP. The cars sound pretty much like they did last time around, and that is no reason to keep the sound on for this game.

Even though they through the title Most Wanted on this game it is still essentially Rivals in the day time. The game is a lot easier than Rivals and can be completed much quicker than Rivals could. The graphics do shine sometimes as the cars have some nice reflections, but the games is just bland. It seems that you are either driving through the countryside or an industrial area. The bright night lights of Rivals are much more fun and almost better looking than that of Most Wanted. The sky is always golden or a smoggy gray and it isn't very fun to look at.

In the end Most Wanted 5-1-0 (honestly what is the point of the numbers???) is just a rehash of Rivals only during the daytime. The game is a lot simpler than Rivals was and Rivals wasn't very hard either. The game lacks creativity in almost every department. If you cannot find Rivals then pick this game up, but if you own Rivals or have played it you are good and you can feel free to skip this sucker.
