Fable, an aged idea finally put into our hands as hard core gamers.  The ability to see your character grow from the younger years of his life to a Paladin style holly warrior, or a totally demonic seed from hell itself.  You get to chose, and its not a choice that you make when your character is born like so many typical games these days, you choices, whether they be of good intentions or evil, will decide your path in ruling the world or setting it free.  Not only will your path be molded by your actions, so will your appearance.  Even with slaying the smallest number of innocents you will see your hair start to fall our and horns will start to develop on your forehead.  But even at this point you have the ability to chose good and reverse the negative visual affects, as well as the social, that you have brought upon yourself.  Heck, even the attire you dawn will affect your status with the common folk.  You will even notice that the NPC characters in the game will either cheer, boo, praise or fear you depending on the reputation that you develop.

The game from the start is beautiful.  You start as a young boy doing small odd jobs as training for the interface.  Within around 40 minutes you will be on your own, unprotected and running quests to either increase your fame or how much people fear and loath you.

Down the the nitty gritty.

Everything about the concept of this game is incredible.  The interface is not as intuitive as I had hoped for such a highly anticipated game.  (I myself was one of 20 people waiting in line to have a peak at this game before its official release date.) Having the ability to attack friendly characters along with the bad ones has some drawbacks that are hard to overcome; you may accidentally target, attack and kill your quest "package".  I have done this a couple of times.  You will have to learn how to effectively separate the combat from a group of weak friendlies.  It seems a little hard to switch targets since this is a free floating camera view, and when you try to "lock" on to a target, it picks the target that is in front of you.  After that you have the ability to select different targets, but this is a bit difficult as well.

Some sub-quests that you have the ability to get during one of the main quests will have the appearance of a malfunction.  You may complete the sub-quest, but if you do not complete the main quest to the games satisfaction, you will have to do them both over...from the start.

Well, considering that I have only had this game for about 4 hours...this is all I have to say.  I plan to update this review in a few days with more information and insight into the game.

Till then......
