While C&C 3 is enjoyable, to some extent, it looks like a last-gen PC title (which isn't surprising considering that it was built upon the old C&C Generals graphics engine) and offers little to no innovation. It prefers to rely instead of fast-paced, old-school rush fests; most games are over in about 7-10 minutes, tops. This may be a delight for the ADD-challenged modern gamers who grew up mostly on more simplistic console games than deep strategy titles but for many of us, this game should belong in the RTR category (Real-Time Tactical Rushing) as opposed to Real-Time Strategy, as there appears to be little in the game to offer any true strategy.
Still, if you have a lower-end (read: crappy) PC this game will at least run smoothly even if it's graphically quite average and that's a plus for the majority of PC gamers. A strong suite of supporting multi-player gaming options such as the Battlecast feature and slick C&C 3 web-portal add a wee bit more value to this game. But in general, you'd be FAR better served by spending your money on far better RTS titles like Company of Heroes, Supreme Commander, Medieval 2, or even Dawn of War - all of which are far superior products than C&C 3.
