e to the creators getting so many complaints about Unreal Tournament 2003 changing the gameplay, they have attempted to make Unreal Tournament 2004 more like the original.
The graphics are a little better than 2003, and alot better than the original Unreal 2003. Sound is about the same as the rest of the series have been.
As I said, they have attempted to bring the game back to the original's gameplay. They have brought back many of the maps from the original Unreal Tournament with only minor changes. They brought back the sniper rifle, but added a delay and a smoke cloud to limit its dominance as in Ureal Tournament. Personaly I like this version of the sniper rifle better, but as usual, many have had complaints again.
They also brought back the Assault game mode with some pretty intersting missions, some challenging, and some just plain fun. They've also added a new game mode called Onslaught, which is one of the best additions I've seen to an FPS ever. In Onslaught, you and your team fight to control nodes and try to connect a line of them to the opponents base, and then you can destroy the opposing teams power node and win.
Along with the addition of Onslaught, they've also added vehicles. There are only a few vehicles, but they're varied enough to be fun. There's also turrets which you can get in and play defense as well.
If you enjoy the Unreal Tournament series, Unreal Tournament adds alot to the series. Any fan of FPS's should atleast try the demo of this game, it is an amazing game.
