Many of us remember playing board games in our youth. Risk was no exception. When you wanted to take over the world (without trying the get yourself assassinated) you'd play this game with all of your friends. I still rember when I got the PC version of the game in 1996. It was beautifully done, however it doesn't compare to how great this game is.
In the PS2 version, the goal is still the same; take over the world. The graphics are great and the way the battle sequences are shown are just as good. In this version, you're not alone. You'll also will be playing against some famous world conquerors like Catherine the Great, or Napoleon Bonaparte, King Ferdinand VII or even George Washington (I don't remember him conquering anything).
Other than the classic version of this game, there's capital; where you try to take over the capitals of other opponents, and mission; where you are give a mission to complete. Anyway it would have been nice to have a same-time or a blind version just like the other games.
Although I've spent my money for both the PS2 version and the board game. I have to tell you this: if you want to play this game alone, take the PS2 version. However when playing with good friends by your side, you can go with either.
