THE game that blurs the line between video game and art...no game does it better than PoP. Fluidly-animated characters interacting with vast and rich environments and architecture combined with the soft ambient lighting gives PoP a unique like no other. Other games can acheive higher polygon counts and other technical graphic feats, but through the magic of presentation and artistic application, PoP is more aesthetically beautiful by comparison.
Gameplay is linear, but that's the niche of this game...the whole game is one huge puzzle where you HAVE to go through each piece. And this game isn't one of your find-the-key-to-open-the-door affair. It's more complex than that; complex, yet logical. This is one game you'd have more fun with without referring to the game guide!
There's one major drawback that gets to me and that I KNOW can definitely improved upon: the roll and vault (jump) commands are both on one button. There's SO many times in combat where I wanted to roll out (when getting surrounded), and instead I try to vault over a sandman's head and then have the spear get the smackdown on me.
