If all games were played from start to middle, this game would recieve a 10.0 on my scale. While it has minor camera flaws (what 3d game doesn't), some silly dialog, and at times shaky control, Sudeki's first 10 hours make up for all that with an extremely captivating story and a STELLAR balance between action and dialog segments. Oh, and all this in the most beautiful environment imaginable with cutscenes that Square-Enix is drooling over. The innovative combat system ties this Japanese style Rpg to an almost Blizzard like action frenzy. .
Unfortunatly all good things come to an end, and even more unfortunatly, Sudeki's greatness ends before the game ends. The stereotypical "final encounter" is overly rushed in all aspects. The storyline is cut short, leaving the gamer wondering ^Omg is this really over? and What happened to these 11 parts of the story that were magically cut off?^ It's final action sequences can be surmized as ^^Fighting "boss" with 10 times more hp cycling through 3 very predictable "attacks" without inspiriting music, graphics or creativity.^^
This game scores a 6.5 out of 10, but if it weren't for its detail eroding at such a key point, it would rise above KOTOR as top xbox rpg easily. It makes me wonder how small the Microsoft bank has become, because no game delayed so long should run into budget issues so severe that they cut 1 hour off the storyline.
