Golden Sun… quite possibly the best RPG to ever hit the GBA. Right off the bat I must say that the graphics for this game are awesome, some of the cut scenes being as good as something off of the Nintendo DS. In the game, you play as a band of young heroes trying to prevent another band of young warriors from lighting the elemental beacons. If the elemental beacons are lit, their world of Gaia will be destroyed.
The game includes several puzzles and a strong storyline like any RPG should have. But one thing that makes Golden Sun stand out from other games of its kind are the introduction of Djinni.
Djinni are little elemental spirits that, when collected, make characters stronger, changes their class, and teaches them new spells. When a Djinni is released in battle, their holder loses the assets from the Djinni, but in return gain the ability to summon all-powerful monsters to assault their foes. Djinni are gained by completing puzzles or found in the wild. Sometimes they will join your party without conflict, but most of the time you must fight them to tame them.
I recommend this game to anybody who likes turn based RPGs. So here is my final verdict for Golden Sun:
