Another installment to the Yu-Gi-Oh! franchise is here. Nothing much here changed except for the addition of new cards and the way you find people to duel. Now instead from choosing from a graph the person you want to duel, you must find them on a map. Sometimes while you are walking from one place to another you will get jumped by people in black capes who force you to duel them.
The pace in duels is a lot faster, but duels still require patience. The AI could still a lot of tuning up, for example: Once during a duel with Kaiba, he played his Blue Eyes Ultimate Dragon (ATK 4500/ DEF 3000). I then played Swords of Revealing Light to defend myself. Then during his next turn he sacrificed his Blue Eyes Ultimate Dragon for a Mechbot! (ATK 1800/ DEF 1600) For any one who has not figured it out, that was a dumb move on his part.
All that aside, if you enjoy playing the card game I recommend this game to you. If not, maybe you should stay away. So here is my final verdict for Yu-Gi-Oh! World Wide Edition Stairway to the Destined Duel:
Storyline: 70%
Replay Value: 90%
Graphics: 85%
Sound: 80%
Total Fun: 85%+ 5% (for being a fan of the card game) = 90%
Overall: 83%
