After such a failed attempt of a game in Legacy of Goku I, Web Foot has tried again and made an actually decent game. Dragon ball Z: The Legacy of Goku II takes you through the Trunks Saga to the Cell Games of the cartoon DBZ series in an RPG style beat 'em up.
This time around, you can choose from Gohan, Piccolo, Vegeta, Trunks, or Goku to fight as. There are barriers throughout the game that only a specified character at a specified level can pass through, thus encouraging you to use your characters evenly rather than maxing one characters stats. You gain levels by defeating enemies.
One neat addition is the world map. To get from one place to the next, you fly over a 3D map of the world. It would help if they put more thought into their dialogue. Every civilian in the entire game says the same 5 things over and over again…
In the end, this is a pretty solid game. I recommend this game to any true DBZ fan out there. So here is my final verdict for Dragon Ball Z: Legacy of Goku II:
(+5 curve for being a DBZ fan)
Storyline: 92%
Replay Value: 85%
Graphics: 85%
Sound: 85%
Total Fun: 90%
Overall: 87%
