Fans of Doom will certainly find Doom 3 an interesting and entertaining experience. Doom 3 does serve to present things the creators set out to do - portray one incredibly scary scenario realistically. However, it is also in this that there lies the game's greatest fallacy: there just isn't enough story to back up the whole ordeal (I mean specifically by the ending - the end jusitifes the means). It is very nice to revisit the doom world and find the return of the same monsters looking much scarier, but be prepared for a rather short and quick ending that leaves you feeling rather unfulfilled, especially since most of us already know what happens to begin with. In my opinion, Doom 3 should have ended on a similar note to that of the original Doom and included a far better ending to tribute what would have made the game nothing short of perfect. For the best experience, play through the game on Veteran, because remember that this game is only good for the first time through... too bad the creators did not include a cooperative play option for the PC. 6/10 stars
