Goldensun was the first RPG that I played for the Gameboy and I am impressed. The story, characters, and gameplay have kept me coming back for more.
The story follows Issac and his teenage friends Garett, Mia, and Ivan on a quest to stop the release of the four elements. Along the way they'll learn many skills to solve in-world puzzles and meet all kinds of characters.
I will admit that I found myself getting mad at the amount of text you have to read before important events. But otherwise Goldensun was near perfect.
I was very fond of the unique 'Dijin' system, although it took a while to understand all the elements of using it. The Dijin are small elemental animals that can raise stats and give the character their attatched to different skills. Once one learns how to manipulate their stats they can enter battles with luck on their side.
I recommend Goldensun to anyone who loves SNES style RPG's with a twist.
