Graphics: Some of the best graphics I've seen for the Xbox, the characters and their enviroments look amazing. You can tell that Midway used Mortal Kombat as an insperation becase Unreal Championship 2 is full of MK-like features. One example is when you defeat an apponent they blow-up into chunks of blood, allthough they lack the detail of MK (No bones and such). All in all this is one of UC2's strongest points.
Sound: UC2's sound is good but not the greatest. The music was average while the sound effects were better. Having you and other characters taunting and such is nice, and the option to use the Mortal Kombat announcer is cool. But all together the sound wasn't awe inspiring.
Gameplay: This is where it counts and UC2 dosen't dissapoint. The Xbox controller is used to it's maxinum and feels great, even in 3rd person. Often you'll be switching from 1st to 3rd person, jumping off walls, and performing acrobatic feets that are rare for a shooter. Mutators only increase the action, for example, Quad Jump can turn a regular battle into an intense aerial battle. But if you like it old school then their's a mutator for that too. The melee combat feels good and is easy to get into, and I find myself using my melee weapon as much as my guns. Then there's adrenilline that changes combat drasticaly. With it you can heal, jump better, or perform various move unique to your character. Also gone are the days when you run around collecting the best guns on the map as in UC2 you pick your guns before the match (1 character weapon, 1 regular, 1 explosive and a your melee weapon) and only find ammo around the map.
Story: UC2 is weak in the story department, but thats understandable because it's a multiplayer game not a story driven shooter.
Overall: Unreal Championship 2 is a great game if you just want to play multiplayer, but don't buy it for it's story. Although it is still fun to play one player, it's at it's peak in 2+ player.
