I will begin this review by stating that I am not a Star Wars fan at all.  Sure, like almost every other person in North America, I've seen the movies, but not to the point that I wanted more of them.

However, this game really sparked my interest.  I had said to myself, "Meh, looks all right, but nothing worth fifty bucks, after the price drop, I'll pick it up." However, after reading review upon review, hearing good things come out of everyone's mouth, I began to think about purchasing the game, and finally picked it up.

I started the game as a Soldier, and became extremely involved in the first story, choosing carefully everything that your fellow soldier "Trask" (a tutorial character), asked me.  He unraveled that we were under attack, something that wasn't too new, things were slamming against the ship, explosions could be heard, and there were holes in the walls.  We quickly made our way to the exits, fighting Sith Supporters, enlisting the help of a Patrol Droid, throwing grenades, using swords, and blasters, and dodge rolling to escape a blast.  That was just the first level.  Soon, I would be whisked away into one of the best story's ever, all in a galaxy far, far away .  .  .

Let's start with the graphics and sound of this game.  Okay, to some people this doesn't matter much (like me), but to others, it does.  The soundtrack is all right, you are usually too wrapped up in the game to notice it, but other than that, it is pretty good for the style of the game, and really fits the story and the mood that the plot is in.  The graphics are also all right.  Not too many jaggies here, and although dynamic lighting doesn't make a large appearance, the game's decent graphics are matched with large level designs, and amazing cut scenes that will blow your mind.

Next is gameplay.  The 'nitty-gritty', something that is essential to every game.  The fighting system is real time, but you don't have the option to fight using combos like 'A-B-X-Y-R Trigger!', instead, you have to tap A, X, and Y, in order to choose new things to do, and your character will carry them out.  Although this is a system that doesn't work out too well with some people, it takes time to control and to really appreciate, and it is a great system that grows on you after a while.  NPC interaction makes an extremely large appearance in this game, and it is something that you will really appreciate.  Your character has the option to be a character on the light side or dark side of the force, and this helps progress the story even more.  Here's an example of a situation where you can choose.  A woman's husband died hunting, and all she has left is what he was hunting, a Wraid Plate, which is worth about 200 credits, IF you have a hunting license to sell it.  She asks you to help her sell it, since now she doesn't have a supporter for her family, and the light side thing to do would be to sell it with the hunting license you acquired, right? The dark side thing would be to steal it.  Its situations like these that make the storyline and its non-linearity something that is almost marvelous to look at.  Stepping back, and looking at the game from a distance, it is almost a universe inside itself, complete with people and almost anything possible for your character to do.  This is what makes the game so good .  .  .  this is why it receives the score 10/10.
