Almost at the end of this game...I must say i am not in the mood to even finish it.  Some of the best things that made Xenosaga 1 so enjoyable are now gone out the window.  You know the phrase: "If it's not broken, don't fix it!", well sadly "they fix it".  The addition of the combo system into the combat, is horrible.  Not only it prolong the fighting to a boring point, but it has absolutely no balance and become extremely repetitive.  If it does bring some action and strategy, it is implement so poorly that it becomes very rapidely a game rock-scissor-paper.  The double attacks are so complicated and long to put in effect in combats, that they are merely something valuable in the head of their conceptors.  The skill system is too open wide, and the effect on the characters are less than obvious at times.  Getting rid of the shops and equipments to the profits of skill/point system has completely destroyed the characters costumization and leveling.  To the point of when a character levelled you don't see any real difference.  The mini games are a waste of time.  They are not fun.  They often required tedious tasks, with lots of backtracking.  At least some puzzles inside dungeons are fine...Combat screen take lots of time to load.  The graphics, the story is still there.  The music went back to the synthetiser keyboards, which i found pretty bad almost 70% of the time.  Kos-Mos is merely a background character now, and act like an empty puppet.  Xenosaga 2 just follow the recent tradition of RPG games, who destroyed their gameplay by adding flimsy elements and systems: namely Sukoiden 5, Star Ocean 3.  I have very little hope about Xenosaga 3...Graphics: 8/10 gameplay: 4/10 sounds: 5/10
