Psy is a very good and deep platformer. Graphics: The graphics are somewhat cartoonish. The characters, most of the time are lacking polygons especially apparent in facial animations, but maybe this is a compromise to have some speed on the PS2...The levels are extremely inventive in their designs. The worlds are also, very lively with squirls, birds and more...You can see some slow down in framerate, but it is acceptable. Sounds: Everything about sounds is done perfectely in this game. Incredible voice overs, nice sounds effects and good music. Gameplay: Overall Psy borrows a lot of elements from past platformers, but really stick to what was fun in those areas. The animations are smooths, although jumping can feel stiff at times. The camera is adjustable, there is a couple of occasions where it is fairly squeeze in some tight corners. To be able to visit the psychic minds of in game characters is a fun and deep ideas. My only problem was with the end: the meat circus level is absolutely atrocious. Everything you can hate about platformer is there, in that single level. Also why put a timer level when it's not present during the rest of the game, and on top of that, with successive "I hope you can get on top of that level fast enouph!". Totally out of place and ultimately, an fun experience ruiner. Conclusion: Very interest concept and original in most areas and levels. Exception of Meat Circus level that makes the ending a disaster, I still recommend it for the nice 12 hours+ of gameplay. For everyones. Graphics: 8/10 Sounds: 9/10 Gameplay: 7/10
