I can't beleive Im still playing Soulbringer. Glitches aside it's unique. The combat and spell system is different from any I've seen. The violence is awesome...lopping off heads and limbs result in huge amounts of bloodspurting. Of course you can turn it off if you like. The games got some good original spells. You can clear the weather with Storm Cease, so you can track bad guys and monsters with Soul Seeker and Sense Evil. Then there are Wall of Screams and Secumind which are potent and visually satisfying. There are I think 80 spells there, too many to describe. There is realistic weather, snow and rain. Some beautiful terrain and tasteful architecture in various ancient ruins and temples. Also there is a constant gloomy darkness around the outer edges of the warlock's visual limits. It provides sinister mood of being lost. There are complete voice overs, a few of which I thought could have been done better. I won't say its the best game, and it is a little old, but if you try it, and stick it out until you figure out the interface and operations completely, you'll find elements in Soulbringer that you won't find nelsewhere.
