Viewtiful Joe is what seems to be Capcom's next Mega Man. That seems like a good idea since the Blue Bomeber has been bombing out lately. Joe is a brand new refreshing character contained within a 2D world. The cel-shading makes the graphics look like you are playing a cartoon. The difficulty level is intense even for the kids level. Joe has three main powers slow mo, mach speed, and zoom(this makes Joe's attacks more intense). Several puzzles exist where you must decide which power would be the one to use to proceed. After levels you can buy power ups or upgrades with coins you earn throughout the game. If you miss the days of 2D platformers this is a great franchise to renew your faith in the genre. Gameplay is also highly addictive. Don't be surprised if you keep playing for hours. Check this one out. 4.5/5
