Metroid II: Return of Samus is the GB sequel to the original Metroid back on the NES. Although it is not in color you can always hook it up with a Gameboy Player or Super Gameboy. The 2D side-scrolling action is solid and Samus can perform many feats with her powers like rolling up walls and dropping bombs in her morph ball form. Like all Metroid games, there are some epic boss battles to be found here. Although there are no major improvements over the original, you do have a better view of Samus and her powers are slightly improved. Music is not as great on the Gameboy but what can you expect? This game is still a solid sequel and a true classic. 4.5/5
