The second game in the Jak trilogy brings us a very different Jak. He actually talks in this one! And he's really ticked off about getting stuck in prison for two years. I thought he might have been ready to kill Daxter for letting him stay there that long. Gameplay is not much different from the first except now you have guns. The tone of the game can be really depressing and you get a real feeling of hopelessness throughout the vast city that is heavily guarded by henchmen(sorta like some dark apocalyptic planet from some sci-fi movie). The city is the biggest problem in the game. It's big but it's all just a time killer to make you get from point A to B. I wanted more interaction within the environments. I see a door I'd like to open it. Well in Jak 2, you usually just go through doors where you have missions to complete. Driving can be cool at times but driving missions can get really frustrating because of time limits and the size of the city. Maybe the next sequel will solve some of these problems but it's still a solid game in a solid series. 4/5
