Sonic Heroes is Sonic's first appearance on the PS2. And if first impressions are really important, Sonic Team blew it on the PS2. Cinematics are really nice but the storyline that goes along with them is not so great. Sonic's speed is not felt as much in his latest adventure mainly because you have three members on your team and must choose the right lead characters to get through the game. This does not cope with speed freaks. Multiplayer can not be in full effect on the PS2 because you would have to buy a multitap but split screen can make you sick anyway. System link is the only way you should play multiplayer just so you don't get motion sickness. Sonic does not feel at home with the PS2 controls either. I can't reccomend this one to anyone except Sonic fans who only have a PS2 in their console collection. Rent before you Buy. 3/5
