Donkey Konga is a fast paced drum game.  This is the Gamecube's Dance Dance Revolution, and does it much better and easier.  This game features dozens of tracks ranging from Techno and Trance, to Nintendo based themes, and even Blink 182 is in there.  I will give you now, the breakdown of each aspect of this game.

Graphics - (8/10) - This game does really offer the greatest graphics in the world because they are not required to make this game phenominal.  Most of the graphics are in the framerate, but that falls more under Gameplay, which I will get to later.  Overall the game is very pretty, and although not as uplifting as some of the other beautiful Gamecube games like Resident Evil and Metroid Prime, is a lot less busy and straining on the eyes than DDR and Taiko Drum Master.

Gameplay - (10/10) - If only this rating could be higher.  This game plays so well, and the drum is built to last a lot better than Taiko Drum Master.  I know that it can take a lot of damage, because little kids walk into the Gamestop I work at everyday, and whack the crap out of it, and it still works for the most part.  Each note flows smoothly in its corrected path, and the 4 command aspect of this game makes it a lot less difficult to master than Dance Dance Revolution.  This game is definately a sleeper hit, and one of the funnest games of the year.  The Gameplay on this game is awesome when you can find 3 other people will to play you, and is very fun and competetive.  Since the game IS so easy to learn, kids, probably from ages 6-8 up, can enjoy this game, as can adults.

Sound - (10/10) - Once again another strong point.  Each note goes along with a command on the bongos, and the game has a lot of tracks.  What better is that you have multiple difficulties, so even if you hear the same song, it will be a lot harder as you progress through the game.  Each track is very crisp and doesn't skip.

Control - (9.5/10) - In a way this co-exists with gameplay.  The controller used for this game is very responsive.  My only complaint is that the mic goes out quickly, so when that happens you have to hit the side as apposed to clapping, which can get annoying at some times, but saves you from hurting your hands.  The controls are pretty simple...  Yellow = Left, Red = Right, Pink = Both, Blue = Clap...  not too difficult, but the youngins might get confused.

Value - (10/10) - In reality, this score is like 50.  This game is just amazing fun.  When you and your crew have an argument, Donkey Konga it out.  If you and your friend are fighting over a girl, Donkey Konga it out.  If there is one soda left and you and your sibbling don't want to split it, Donkey Konga it out.  This game can be used for so much non violent activities.  This game is just great, being serious for a sec, and it really is a must have.  This game will keep you busy for hours.  Before I bought the game, I was content with the 8 or so songs they gave you on the demo; I spent many of hours playing Donkey Konga.

Final Score - 9.5 (rounded to 10 on GR)
Conclusion - Great single player and multiplayer, a rare occasion in a game.  This is a must have if you have a Gamecube.
