Gameplay: This game is no slouch in the gameplay element. In fact, I'd venture to say that hardly any or no other games come close to the overall play of Ocarina of Time. The immense variety of weapons and items, all brilliantly implimented, keeps the gameplay fresh throughout. Enemies aren't too tough, nor too easy, and the dungeons are a fun challenge (besides the water temple perhaps). Battle system works almost flawlessly, and is a ton of fun to play. 10/10
Story: While not the deepest or most driving one around, The Ocarina of Time has a solid story that keeps the player interested while allowing for a lot of gameplay. One thing I must commend this game for is the rate at which the story moves. From beginning to end, it seems to flow like few games manage to do. All of the dungeons and city's fit perfectly into the framework of the tale unfolding, and there are no plot holes to keep you guessing. A classic to be sure. 10/10
Graphics: Without a doubt a top notch game for when it came out, and it still looks good today. The ocarina of time did so many things extremely well in the graphics department. There was a lot of detail in everything but it still played smooth, the contrasts of dark and light colours in areas added to the mood, the huge areas made it feel more epic, the enemies looked cool, etc. Even the sun rose and set. Amazing. Nintendo nailed the graphics here. 10/10
Sound: With a huge number of minor themes throughout the game, most of which are very catchy, along with a beautiful score itself, there's no way this game can't get top marks for sound. Sound effects are dead on as well, from the clanging of a sword on a wall, or the ping of a nut on a shield. You've gotta love the little expressions the characters blurt out occasionally during speech, classic. 10/10
Overall: The Ocarina of Time pushed games up quite a few notches when it came out. It defined what a top notch game should be in every category, and was insanely fun on top of it. Not to mention 20-30 hours of gameplay that you'll surely want to go through more than once. This is my 2nd favourite game of all time (to FF7) and I'm sure, based on it's standing in gamerankings records, that most would agree it stands as probably the greatest game of all time. 10/10
