Fable was a very anticipated game for the Xbox when it first came out, it wasn't exactly Microsoft's "secret weapon" but they expected great things from it. Lionhead themselves even went as far as to say that it would be the greatest game of all time. And of course, like all other games before it that said the same thing, they were wrong. Lionhead was not even close. This isn't a bad game though, it's actuall quite good, and enjoyable. It's a little different but it's still your medieval save the world defeat the dragon kind of game. You character can be anything you want him to look like, but if you play the game enough, you will notice that there are layouts for the different characters and that there aren't as many options as you thought there were once you delve deeper into the game itself. They can get scars on their body from battle, but they are so minimal, and after a while so many, that it doesn't make a difference. You can get hair cuts but there are only about 15 different choices. You can choose from about 12 different tatoos. There are many different kinds of armor though, maybe 50. There aren't a whole lot of weapons though. I think that this game tried way too hard to be an Elder Scrolls game. At first you won't notice it, but after a while, it'll all be there. The world itself seems rather large at first, but then you can see how small it is. The game only offers about 15 hours of game and thats if you do everything. There is some fairly good voice acting and music to go along with it. The battles are fun but they get repetitive. The expansion for this game adds very little to Fable, so I'm not even going to waste time reviewing that. Overall this game is definetely worth buying, but don't be prepared to be blown away, because you won't.
