Resident Evil 4 was my first real encounter with the survival horror genre, and to speak the truth, I like it. Resident Evil 4 will scare the hell out of you at many points. This game is just downright fun to play. In some of the cutscenes, you will have to push buttons with a fast reaction time, this is something that I haven't seen in a game before, but will definetely see again by other copy cats. The aiming system seems a little slow at first, but after you get used to it, it's all good. This isn't the amazing game that destroys all beariers on what a game could be like many people make it out to be, it's just a good game that any player will enjoy, if you own an Xbox, then you're screwed, because Xbox has Halo(Which wasn't that good anyways) and Morrowind, and that's just about it. Gamecube and PS2 users will fully enjoy the benefits of their selected consoles with this one. The graphics in it are very good, the scare factor in it is pretty far up there for a PS2 game, the controls aren't absolutely amazing, but they're accurate, the sound is good(Dolby Pro Logic 2) and the animations are very nice. This game is definetely worth buying for anyone with a PS2, if you don't have a PS2, I wouldn't say buy one for this game, but hey, it sure beat the hell out of Halo. I'd go ahead and play it, and after you're done, do some of the slightly interesting side missions with Ada Wong.(Personally I didn't do them because they are basically the same as the first game, just as a girl, and they have cooties so I wouldn't do it anyways).
