Chrono Trigger, possibly one of the best games of all time is still enjoyable in this day and age.
Chrono Trigger will take you across time from the extreme past to the future on an adventure that will end according to your own actions. The storyline can be twisted and changed several times. With several different endings, the replay value is greater here than in most RPGs.
The battle system is more active than the usual Final Fantasy-type battle system. Characters can perform "tech" together which can aid the party or devistate your opponent.
There are no random battles. Enemies you will fight appear as characters on the screen and when you come in contact with them the battle opens up right where you are standing.
The sound is amazing. Chrono Trigger's soundtrack is one of the best I have heard to this day. All the themes from different locations in the game will be in your head even after you've stopped playing the game.
The graphics are rather good for its time. They don't make it unbearable to play or take away from the game.
This game is very enjoyable and basically a must play for those into RPGs. It's hard to obtain for the SNES but can be found packaged with Final Fantasy IV in Final Fantasy Chronicals.
Playing this game will not leave you dissapointed. Get yourself playing Chrono Trigger now if you haven't before...
