Fable is now one of my top ten games of all time, Its that good, IMO.

Graphics 10/10: I can't find one flaw in the graphics, everything looks amazing, even the villagers look excellent, the scenery is amazing, there's times when you just want to stop and take a look at the amazing work done on the graphics.

Music 9/10: Great music, suits the game well, each area has appropriate music, but its not really memorable.

Sound 9/10: Sound and Sound effects are great, the sound of your sword swinging about, the string on the longbow tightening, the shouts of the bandit gangs as they all charge at you, all done flawlessly, the villagers all have voices, but it gets repetitive sometimes, especially when your known as a "Chicken Chaser" running through a town hearing men and women with a British accent saying, "Its Chicken Chaser" or "There goes that Chicken Chaser" can get a bit annoying, but its no big deal.

Controls: 9/10: If you liked the controls for Legend of Zelda: Ocarina or Time and Majoras Mask then you'll also like Fables controls, its almost the same, with a targeting system and all, but this time you have to manually sheath/un-sheath your melee and long ranged weapons, which adds to the game play in my opinion, as failure to sheath your weapons in towns can result in fines.  You can also fight in hand to hand combat, when your weapons are sheathed, which is another good little feature, using magic, items and expressions takes a bit of getting used to, you use the D-Pad for quick access of items and expressions, and hold R for a favorites list and a list of magic that can be used with the A,B,X and Y buttons.  Only problem I have is that during some missions you'll accidentally target and sometimes kill the very person your trying to protect.  Although this don't happen very often.

Story 8/10: Make your own story basically, you can be good or evil or a mixture of both, and you can do certain missions that will make you more popular, whether your popular in a good or bad way.  There's also some core story points that must be done whether your good or bad.  One down fall to the story system in this game that made it lose two points is the fact that its short, it can be finished within ten hours of game play, thats a bit disapointing.  But it don't take much away, so don't let it deter you from trying this game, for what it takes with one hand it give back in great quantities with the other.

Game play 10/10: this aspect of the game is Done to perfection, Zelda's fighting system with the freedom of GTA, mixed with Secret of Mana's leveling system, and a little bit of Harvest Moon's love system thrown in.  basically, you fight enemies in battles like you've seen in Zelda games, but you gain experience for everything you kill, (I mean everything, from monsters, to bandits, to guards, merchants and villagers, everything and everyone is worth experience.) But you can go at your own pace, like the GTA games.  Also, you can find a wife (or husband depending on which way you swing) much like the harvest moon games, the people who like you have hearts above their heads, usually evil people don't find much love, so if you want a spouse, be a hero.  There's also real estate you can buy, once you buy it you can choose to live there with your wife or rent it out for sums of money.  Also, by "evicting" Villagers you can put more houses and businesses up for sale, what I mean by evicting is that you can either get them to follow you out of town or you can kill them and their houses will be up for sale, but remember, you kill Villagers the town guards will have a hefty price on your head.  Another nifty addition to this game is the use of expressions, you can now do things like pass gas, flirt, laugh, flex muscles and all sorts of expressions like that to please, scare or annoy villagers, traders, guards and other civilized beings in the Fable world.

One more point of interest, I've heard a lot of people say this game is confining, I fail to see how this is so.  I never felt confined once, I think most gamers were expecting it to be one big wide open field like Zelda: Ocarina of Time was, and you go from corner to corner to the different locations, but in this game, rather than having one big open field, you have paths, roads and trails linking the towns and places of interest, most of the time these paths are often big and open allowing much room to run and roam about as you please.

Replay value: 10/10: The story is different every time you play through, nothing is ever the same so its always a different experience, plenty to come back for.

Rent or Buy?: Rent, and if you still enjoy it, Buy.

Final score: 9.2 out of a possible 10, rounded out, its a 9.
