Do you like to smash buttons? If so then you will be in Godzilla heaven with King of the Monsters 2. SNK retained the same wrestling theme with this sequel while adding some minor action game elements throughout. There are only three selectable monsters and three game modes: 1P vs. computer, 1P vs. 2P and 1P and 2P vs. computer. The options are nice but the game play is so repetitive its headache inducing.
Graphics are colorful and the characters are large, while the music is surprising good. There are sound effects like monsters screaming and howling which adds nicely to the feel of the game. But the game is broken. Your moster has a very low health bar, has no ability to block and needs to charge for a few seconds to execute special moves; bosses don't need to charge special moves, can block and have very big health meters. Meaning your going to be using a lot of continues. The game is impossible to beat, even when your using a memory card because of the cruel sicko end boss! Only players who love frustration should look this one up.
