Sonic Advance is a solid game. You would be crazy to compare it to its Genesis brothers, but it is still good on its own. I like the level design throughout this game, but one thing that I hate is that they took names of zones from some of the Genesis games and made crappier versions of the levels. This is a minor beef, but it is still one, nonetheless. I wish that the character sprites looked more like the Genesis versions than the new cartoonier look. Also, the game was a bit too easy, but it still had its moments. Luckilly, the next two installments have improved on these problems big time, and they feel more like the originals. This is a good game to spend time with, but nothing to shout about. The best idea for a Gameboy Sonic game is a Mega Collection (or maybe Mini Collection?), with ports of the originals. That would be the ultimate game.
