After having acquired Fable last week, I am extremely sad to say, that its already over. Not only have I defeated the game while doing every quest imaginable in such a short period of time (which is a downer)...but also the game has really left me...confused, very confused. Its a very strange feeling I have even now after having beaten Fable two days ago, the same strange feeling that I had as soon as I saw the credits for the game role after it was over. This feeling for Fable that I find myself unable to shake is the extremely strange mixture of both disappointment and yet also.....surprise!
Why disappointment you ask? Well, that's a bit obvious isn't it? Fable is by NO MEANS the "RPG TO END ALL RPGS" that it was claimed to be. All the way from the Project Ego days this game was buzzed about everywhere as being the RPG that would change everything and that would possibly be the greatest RPG (if not game) ever made! Well, Im afraid that Mr.Molyneux and all the wonderful people involved with this game...well, quite frankly they missed the mark! Fable is NOT the greatest game ever made....its not even close to the best RPG ever made, however that DOES NOT mean that its not a WONDERFUL game!!
The suprise that I felt after having played this game was the fact that even though by this time I was well aware that Fable was not what we had all hoped it would be....I was still very entertained by it and engrossed in it! The story was too short of course, but I have to say that overall...the game was well worth the money...but not worth the wait!
