Shaped in the mould of Super Mario 64 is this awesome platformer which excels in just about every department. You take control of Banjo and his side kick Kazooie, as they attempt to rescue Banjos little sister from Gruntilda the evil witch.
You will find yourself exploring big 3D environments with complete freedom. Performing crazy dual character moves, and generally having a great time.
The game really succeeds in the gameplay, it's just superb. Simply put its pure fun to play. Though its very similar to Super Mario 64, it goes one step further to include dual character controls; the bulk of your gameplay will be controlling Banjo, however you can also use Kazooie (whom lives in Banjos backpack) or both characters together to perform heaps of different moves! These moves will be required to reach certain areas and to defeat particular enemies.
The game is easy for gamers of all skill levels to pick up, as you are introduced to more technical moves and abilities as the game progresses. These are done in the form of enjoyable little tutorials which let the game flow as you learn.
The graphics are brilliant, everything about the games visuals are of high quality. The audio is also great, nice music and great SFX.
Banjo Kazooie will surely have you hooked. It has big 3D environments to explore, lots to do and plenty of little goodies to collect and unlock. There is enough depth and fun to keep you playing through to the very end.
This is not just one of the best games on the N64, but its one of the best platformers I have ever played. Pure fun!
