Set in the future this game sees you take control of the 23rd Special Forces Unit made up of four playable characters. They include a sniper, assault trooper, scout and an alien trooper. Each player has certain roles and unique abilities which will be important to success of your missions.
Intro and cut scenes in Brute Force are very good. The graphic are top notch and the HUD shows plenty of information without being cluttered. The voice acting and general audio are also of high quality. In game visuals and audio/music follow suite and deliver a good overall package.
The gamplay is fun, responsive controls, and good gun battles with the option the zoom to first person perspective for more precise aiming, the rest of the game is played from a third person perspective . Switching between characters with the D-pad is seamless, you can also give squad commands such as "stand ground' and "fire at will". Aiming and shooting overall is nice and smooth. The AI isn't that good, some enemies are happy to walk into your line of fire.
Mid mission save points would have been a nice inclusion as there can be some big gaps between save points. Multiplayer adds lots of fun with co-op or deathmatch options available. The ability to play 4 players on one console, or up to 8 players through system link can have plenty of fun. All in all this is a good game with some unique features check it out!
