This game is awesome. The first need for speed was great but this one is a little bit better. all of the old parts and customization options are back with a handful of new things to do along the way. as wel as customizing your bumpers to your spoilers there have been plenty new addtions to this category. There is also a load of new stuff such as doors. you can put scissors stlye doors or suicide doors opn your car and although they do not have an affect on your driving when you are racing, they greatly boost your 10 star visual rating. also some new things you can add are nitrous purge which has absolutly no affect but this does also boost your visual level. You can also add hydraulics to your car, you can add trunk layoouts and install such things as amps, woofers, LCD screens and nitrous bottles for looks. You can also add neon to your trunk and engine this time around. The driving in general is done just like the first which is very good. The graphics are a little bit better which means that this game looks gorgeous as the first game looked awesome to begin with. When you first start out you start in the city ore and you start racing. as you sign on with sponsers and complete the deal you unlock new sections of the city. each section of the city has hidden parts shops to find and different areas to explore. This time around it is much easier to unlock parts as when you find a new shop that you have never been to before you unlock new parts and stuff for your car relevent to the shop you are visiting. The only downfall is that once you have unlocked the whole city and discovered all the secret shops all you do after that is drive around race to race. you unlock most of the parts about 40% into the game and after that it is a lot of driving from race to race which can get boring. if you can overlook this one minor detail, then you are buying one of the greates racing games.
