Battle toads double dragon is way too hard for its own good. Every aspect in this game could have been better, but is shattered by its difficulty. The levels in this game are possible but boy so you have to practice, practice, and practice. I'm not pulling you leg your going to die a lot at this game before you actually beat it, well.. In a way that actually could make it a better challenge for hardcore players.

Graphics: 10/10
The graphics in this game are masterfully done. The toads and people are superb, for Snes wise. Levels are unique and graphically eye pleasing. This category is a flawless, playing this game only for a short while will convince you.

Sound: 5/10
The music in this game is good, but not great. All levels in this game have techno, rock or a variation of the two. I'd rather listen to well thought out music, not this half-baked mumbo jumbo they threw in at the last second. Bosses don't even have their own music, omg. I've never seen a game that instead of changing the music to make awareness of a boss, they just keep the level music playing. Each level has it's own unique music that is so bland. The first level has decent rock/techno music, and then the second level has some music that doesn't even seem loud. Common this is supposedly the ultimate team why give them the "bleepiest" music in the database. Sound effects are horrid; thraps and punching sounds are all this game offers in sound effects. The category gets a 5 because the music/sound effects are tolerable.

Game-play: 3/10
First off this game is got to be the hardest game I've ever played, and I've played a lot of games. The first two levels are a piece of cake. Then the third one hits you like a punch in the face, and the levels just keep getting harder and harder. I don't know how to express how hard this game really is, some people say it's simple, ya right! Not only do the levels get longer as you progress, the enemies get up to be tough as hell and come in numbers. The thing that is most annoying is when you're getting punched, you can't escape. You just have to stand there while someone does a combo on you. Now lets talk about the bosses, there are some tough mothers to beat. I already talked about how you cant get away when someone's punching you, it's the same for the bosses and they take out a whole lot more. All bosses have patterns and can be beaten with practice, but I wish you luck, your going to need it. The characters don't even have a lot of moves, in fact there's only one the toads punch and the humans kick. You can run and duck and do variations of the moves but there basically the same. I would say giving this game a 3 is gracious because the game play is just so repulsive with a whole lot of difficulty and little excitement.

Story: 1/10
Does this game have a story? No, didn't think so. All I can think of is that this queen has done something bad and now the battle toads and double dragons have to stop her. Traveling through each level every boss gives a little memento to the characters before they begin each level. Eventually the toads get to the end to only relies that they must beat the game on the next difficulty to get to the end. This game gets harder!

Replay ability: 2/10
Why replay this game? It's so obvious how this game is so unappealing. Play this game then never think of it again.

Rent or buy
Do yourself a favor don't buy this game. Rent it, maybe to see if you like it, but I strongly recommend you stay clear of battle toads double dragon. If you're not good at games don't even look at this game.

Overall: 4/10
There is only one thing that is redeemable, being able to play two players. Does it make it easier? A little. Overall battle toads double dragon could have been an excellent game, instead it's a mushy music horror ride, and not in the good way. I'm not trying to bash this game out of its existence, but I have to tell the truth.
