Ristar was a simple, but innovative game in which so many diverse gameplay effects would make it a platinum game. It was beautiful for its time and was one of the last Genesis games. While Ristar isn't exposed to many people these days, but like great movies there will be a cult to be enlarge its popularity. Ristar was a game that deserved every inch of popularity.
Ristar had various levels that had secrets to it, such as bonus levels and health items. The use of climbing walls and getting places by reaching your elastic arms definetly made this game original. One thi ng the game took hold of were fun bosses, somewhat remiscent of what you would see in Pokemon. As many would notice, Ristar the Shooting Star looks akin to Sonic, the character designer also created Sonic the Hedgehog.
