To tell you the truth, I have become very disappointed. I think it shows how Microsoft can take something excellent (The Legacy Bungie was creating, I.E. Marathon, Halo) and completely ruin it.
I am enjoying the game, and overall it is an excellent game, great graphics, excellent game play. I just hate the single campaign. Being a seasoned Marathon Vid-Master, Map maker, and historian, I am very disappointed in the depth this game fails to provide with the story. I have found myself confused (especially when you switch to the arbitor), and really lost as to what's happening. It's also gotten to the point where you can expect the ambushes, the alien around the corner, and the big huge battles. That I HATE. Microsoft has sucsessfully taken the element of surprise out the game, the depth that Marathon and Halo had, and the true old Bungie-Feel.
Some people don't really care about that stuff, and I don't mean any offense here, but this is why I am really disappointed about. It's too much kill the alien, flip the switch, next level.
On a more positive scale, I loved the new dual wielding feature. I love the graphics, and I really like some of the music and other features.
